Greenville Watershed Conference and Training Facility

The Greenville Watershed Conference and Training Facility is a 5,000 square foot facility located at Greenville Water’s reservoir in the upstate of South Carolina. Its purpose is threefold: to provide training space for approximately 50 people, a lobby/lounge to greet visitors and for informal commissioner use, and an area for technicians to work and other support spaces.

In addition, terrace areas are provided as an extension of the interior spaces. CCA was invited to study the site and propose several options and a budget to be considered by the client.

The design vision for the project was to create a highly functional environment, sensitive to the natural setting, that maximizes views of the reservoir. The modern expression integrates steel, timber, and stone, and features sustainable elements such as solar panels and rainwater collection.
